Troubled Spirit News

Hot Off the Presses

Jim I here. Yes we are, as Johnny Winter says "Still alive and well." It is great to report our brothers in arms, "Bottled in America" are doing quite well. If you haven't seen them yet you owe it to yourself to do so. Since we are talking about good news, I am really happy to report that Darryl "Big D" Freeman and I have hooked up with a couple of new friends and are about to bring the newest version of Troubled Spirit to a club near you in the very soon. So without any further ado let me introduce our newest member of the Troubled Spirit Clan:

This version of Troubled Spirit rpomises to be the most powerful and exciting one ever. Of course you would expect nothing less from Troubled Spirit, now would'nt you.

I have developed a new affiliation with Ray Tilkens of Ambient Recording Studios. I have been learning the crafts of the trade from Ray and sometimes visa versa. My efforts to finish the "Come Back, My Paradise" CD continue in earnest. Several tracks are in the the final stages of completion. A few new friends have been added to the tracks to help enhace the performance. Tim Coderre, a fellow member of last year's DISA-Peering Act, who performed at the State Theater in Virginia, to a packed house at a USO function, has laid down several magnificient guitar tracks. David Kerr, a regular guest artist with Troubled Spirit has blessed the project with some fine harmonica tracks and some backing vocals as well.

As most of you know, the first Troubled Spirit CD, "Call It What You Want" has been finished for a while now. The response to it has been fantastic. Ray Tilkens took us under his wing at his studio (Ambient Sound) and helped produce a product that definitely represents Troubled Spirit well. His assistant Kevin Good did the mastering work and was equally inspiring to work with. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
