Traffic Jam

Well I get up in the morning, yeah I'm ready and out the door.
I hop in the "Mighty Datsun" and I put the pedal to the floor.
Wheelin' 'round the beltway headin' toward Georgia Avenue.
When everthing comes to a screechin' halt and there's nothing I can do.

It's a Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam

Well I'm doin' pretty good now, You know I almost caught third gear.
Been here almost an hour, maybe the end is near.
But one man's gotten restless and another one doesn't care.
Now they've run together and I'm still sittin' here.

It's a Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam

Well I finally broken through now, You know I'm at my wit's end.
Headin' down the pike, thinkin' of work again.
But as I round the corner just before the Cabin John bridge,
Well I really can't beleive it, but I hit the skids again.

It's a Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam, Traffic Jam
It's a Traffic Jam

Jerseys to the left of me , Jerseys to the right,
If this traffic don't start movin' soon I'll be stuck here through the night.
